Reviving Leicester’s Fashion Future

Once the beating heart of British garment production, Leicester was a proud symbol of craftsmanship, community, and industrial skill. Streets buzzed with textile mills, family-run factories, and generations of makers who stitched quality into every seam.
In 2020, Leicester’s fashion legacy faced a devastating blow.

The Scandal That Shook an Industry

A media exposé revealed violation of workers rights during 2020 in a few fashion supply chains. The scandal made headlines and rightly so. But, many major Brands severed ties with the factories and hundreds of workers were then left without income or support.

What had once been a city of makers became a cautionary tale.

It's time to change this old narrative and support the ethical factories!

A New Thread of Hope

ThreadChain was born from the ashes of that fallout, built with one goal:

To restore trust, transparency, and opportunity in Leicester’s fashion industry.

We work directly with ethical local factories—many of whom were impacted by the 2020 crisis—to give their unused stock a second life. By connecting this surplus with shoppers and emerging brands, we’re helping factories generate income, reduce waste, and rebuild with pride.

ThreadChain isn’t just about saving stock—it’s about sparking opportunity. Our platform gives UK-based entrepreneurs the tools to launch fashion brands without the risks of traditional retail. No bulk orders.. Just quality garments and a mission-driven model that values local trade.

Our Vision

We imagine a world where fashion is:
  • ✔ Made ethically
  • ✔ Sold sustainably
  • ✔ Powered by local pride

Whether you’re buying a single piece or building your own label, you’re helping us make that future real—one stitch at a time.

Why Leicester?

Because this city still holds the skills, the spirit, and the stories worth fighting for.
Revival doesn’t start in a boardroom—it starts on the factory floor.
