Just dropped from Leicester
made to order
“After attending Leicester Made, I’m excited that this could be a turning point for Leicester and UK manufacturing. I visited a great factory on Monday, designed and had this dress sample by Friday and it could be in production in stock fabrics next week.”
“I’m working with ATMF and Fashion Enter to support made to order production that supports skills and jobs and is a sustainable way of manufacturing.”
– Fiona Lambert, former Managing Director of Jaeger at M&S now Author and Consultant

FAQ
Where do your products come from?
All our products on The Collection are surplus stock sourced directly from trusted garment factories in Leicester, UK. We work with ethical, vetted manufacturers.
Products that are made to demand are also made in ethical factories and you will have the opportunity to meet the factory directly.
Is everything ready to ship?
Yes – all listed products on The Collection are in stock and ready for fast UK dispatch from our Leicester fulfilment centre.
Do I need to buy stock upfront to sell?
No. With ThreadChain, you can start your fashion brand without holding any inventory. We offer seamless made to order contracts too directly from our warehouse to your customer.
How much does it cost to join?
ThreadChain is currently in soft launch mode and whilst we are trailing the site there are no fees to pay. Once established you will need to join the membership of the ATMF. Currently there are no listing fees, only a small commission on successful sales only.
IF THIS IS DEAD STOCK WILL THERE BE ANY ISSUES SELLING THESE GARMENTS?
No the factories that are supplying the garments have guaranteed that the stock has no IP issue. The stock is owned by the factory not ThreadChain by the ATMF and the factory has the legal right to sell these garments. We will connect you directly with the factory if required and you can discuss this further.
What happens if I am not happy with the garments?
Your statutory rights are not affected so if the garment has an issue such as a fabric flaw or is not fit for purpose intended then please return. However, please remember you are helping the factories to clear their dead stock and the prices are low to reflect this. Remember too you can upcycle and re-design these garments. Be creative! Where is the disclaimer that I put too...that needs to be on the site.
